Ashes 2025-26: Three England players to join Lions squad for Prime Minister’s XI match

England has released three players — Jacob Bethell, Mathew Potts, and Josh Tongue — to join England Lions squad for a two-day fixture against Prime Minister’s XI starting November 29.

The match will be held at Canberra’s Manuka Oval — it’ll be a day/night fixture to be played with the pink ball.

“The Lions group, including the three players linking up from the Ashes squad, will travel from Perth to Canberra on Tuesday,” England Cricket Board said in a statement.

The second Ashes Test — a day/night game — between Australia and England will be played from December 4 at The Gabba in Brisbane.

Host Australia currently leads the five-match series 1-0 after it finished the first Test in Perth in two days.
