PBKS vs DC, IPL 2026: Delhi Capitals’ captain Axar Patel fined Rs. 12 lakhs for Code of Conduct breach

Axar Patel, the captain of Delhi Capitals (DC), was fined Rs. 12 lakh after his team maintained a slow over rate against Punjab Super Kings (PBKS) on Monday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) said in a statement.

DC returned to winning ways in the league, after consecutive losses, as it beat PBKS by three wickets at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.

However, it was found to have a slow rate — a breach of Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences.

It was the team’s first such offence this season.

The Capitals host Rajasthan Royals next, on May 17, before travelling to Kolkata for its last match of the regular season, against Kolkata Knight Riders.
