WPL 2026 Eliminator: What happened last time GG played DC?
Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants face each other in the 2026 Women’s Premier League Eliminator on Tuesday at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara with a spot in the final on the line.
This is the third time that the two sides are meeting each other this season. The last time they met was at this venue, and it was Giants’ Sophie Devine who starred with the ball.
Devine, who picked up four wickets, defended eight in the final over to help Gujarat Giants eke out a three-run win and do the league double over Delhi Capitals.

While the New Zealand veteran couldn’t impress with the bat during, knocks from Beth Mooney (58 off 46) and Anushka Sharma (39 off 25) helped GG post 174 in 20 overs. Left-arm spinner N. Shree Charani was the tormentor-in-chief for the Gujarat batters as she bagged a four-wicket haul.
During its chase, Delhi, at one point, found itself struggling at 100 for six in 14.3 overs. It was rearguard stand between Niki Prasad (47 off 24) and Sneh Rana (29 off 15) — 70 runs for the seventh wicket — which kept DC in contention, but Devine’s last-over heroics had the last laugh.
