WPL 2026 Auction: Full list of Indian players expected to draw huge bids
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 auction will be held on Thursday in New Delhi, with teams set to fill up to 73 slots ahead of the new season.
While Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians retained their full quota of five players, UP Warriorz opted for just one retention and is set for a major overhaul. Gujarat Giants, too, retained only two players and will enter the auction with a sizeable purse.
Of the 277 players who will go under the hammer, 194 are from India. Here are some of the big Indian names likely to spark bidding battles.
Deepti Sharma
Deepti Sharma was released by UP Warriorz, a franchise she had represented since the inaugural season. The all-rounder has strengthened her credentials ahead of the auction after winning the Player of the Tournament award at the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup.
Across three WPL seasons, Deepti has scored 507 runs in 25 matches at an average of 28, along with 27 wickets. Slotted in the marquee set, she will be among the first players to go under the hammer on Thursday.
Kranti Goud
Kranti Goud is another player released by UP Warriorz as part of its rebuild. She endured a lacklustre 2025 WPL season, managing six wickets in eight matches at an economy of 9.45, but has rebuilt her stocks with her recent World Cup showing. The seamer picked up nine wickets in six games and emerged as a reliable new-ball option for India. She heads into the auction with a base price of Rs. 50 lakh and is expected to be on multiple teams’ radar.

Kiran Navgire
The power-hitter from Maharashtra has been in blazing form this season. She broke the record for the fastest women’s T20 century when she notched up a ton in just 34 balls during the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy.
Her fine form is reflected in her strike rates as well. She scored at 235.35 and 177.53 in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy and the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal T20 respectively, the highest by any player in the two tournaments.
N. Sree Charani
The left-arm orthodox spinner is another World Cup winner who is set to be in demand at the mega auction. She picked up 14 wickets in nine matches at the World Cup and was India’s second-highest wicket-taker, behind only Deepti.

Though she played just two games in WPL 2025, picking four wickets, Sree Charani is expected to secure a higher bid than the Rs. 55 lakh which Delhi Capitals shelled out last season.
Pratika Rawal
Pratika Rawal went unsold at the WPL 2025 auction. However, she enjoyed a stellar 12 months in the ODI format last year, becoming the joint-fastest batter to cross 1,000 runs.
Her prolific form continued at the ODI World Cup, where she scored 308 runs in six innings, including two centuries. Though her campaign was cut short by injury, her impressive run through the year is likely to fetch her a big deal at this auction.
