With T20 World Cup in sight, Ravi Bishnoi says there’s healthy competition among Indian spinners
Hoping to return to the Indian team in the future, Ravi Bishnoi thinks a healthy competition is going on among spinners in the country at present.
Bishnoi said competing with well-known spinners such as Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, also vying for spots in the Indian T20 squad, was a good sign.
“It’s a healthy competition. It’s good for Indian cricket. If you see this type of competition, it means the team is going in the right direction. It’s always good to compete with these guys,” said Bishnoi, who is here to play for Gujarat in its Ranji Trophy match against Bengal.
“Whenever these guys give me a chance, I will try to take my place. I hope they do wonders in the Australia T20 series.”

Bishnoi is keen to don India colours during the T20 World Cup on home soil next year.
“There is a World Cup in India. It’s a good opportunity for every Indian. If you are playing and winning it, nothing better than that.
“My mindset is that whenever I get a chance to play in the team, I will try to grab it,” said Bishnoi, who last played for India in a T20I match against England in Mumbai in February earlier this year.
