Mumbai Indians leg spinner Raghu Sharma made his Indian Premier League debut, during an IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk on Saturday.
MI had signed the Punjab spinner during IPL 2025 as a replacement for the injured Vignesh Puthur. Raghu ended up not playing a game, but was retained by the franchise ahead of the auction.
Raghu was part of Mumbai’s support bowling group before his promotion into the main squad.
The 28-year-old has represented Punjab and Puducherry across formats, featuring in 12 First-Class, 12 List A, and four T20 matches. He has taken five five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket match hauls in his FC career.
