West Indies squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026—Full list of players announced

West Indies on Thursday named its squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which begins on June 12 in England and Wales.

All-rounder Hayley Matthews will lead the 2016 champion at the showpiece event, and will be supported by experienced campaigners Deandra Dottin and Stafanie Taylor.

Matthews and Qiana Joseph are likely to open the batting, while Dottin, Taylor, Chinelle Henry and Jahzara Claxton are some of the middle-order options in the squad, along with wicketkeeper-batter Shemaine Campbelle.

The team has plenty of options in the spin department, with Ashmini Munisar, Afy Fletcher, Mandy Mangru, Karishma Ramharack, Matthews as well as Zaida James capable of turning their arm over.

Meanwhile, Henry, Aaliyah Alleyne, Jannillea Glasgow, Claxton, Shawnisha Hector, and Dottin provide West Indies with enough firepower in the pace unit.

A hallmark of this West Indies team is the all-round options at its disposal, with Matthews, Henry, Dottin, Taylor, James, and Claxton in the ranks.

The Maroon Warriors will open their World Cup campaign against New Zealand on June 13 in Southampton, before taking on Scotland, Sri Lanka, England and Ireland.
