This moment took place on Saturday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai during a 2026 Women’s Premier League match.
The fixture was Jemimah’s debut as DC captain after she was handed the skipper’s cap ahead of this season. However, it was a forgettable outing with the bat for her.
While facing just her third ball, Jemimah edged a Shabnim Ismail delivery behind the stumps. It seemed that it would beat the ‘keeper and go fine, but Kamalini took off to her right and made sure she held on to the catch. According to broadcast, the 17-year-old’s reaction time was 0.80s. Jemimah departed with just the one run to her name.
