India’s star pacer Renuka Singh Thakur said that the team’s only moto is to take the Women’s cricket above and maintain the high standards set after the historic ODI World Cup win last month.
“We just want to maintain our standards high after winning the World Cup because we don’t want to go down and our moto is to take the Women’s cricket above from here,” Renuka said in the post-match press conference after India’s eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
“Performance is pretty good, was playing T20i match after long time now so I am happy,” she said about her four wicket haul that helped India seal the series against the Lankan side in Thiruvananthapuram.
