Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashes century for India in Under-19 World Cup 2026 final

Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued his fine form at the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 with a quick-fire hundred against England in the final at Harare on Friday.

The 14-year-old reached three figures in just 55 balls, just shy of his record of 52 balls against the same opposition during the bilateral series in 2025.

This century was the young opener’s fourth in Youth ODIs, drawing level with Shubman Gill and Vijay Zol among Indians. Unmukt Chand holds the record with five three-figure knocks.

Suryavanshi combined for a 142-run stand in just 90 balls with skipper Ayush Mhatre to help India U19 take control of the summit clash after opting to bat first. After seeing through the first couple of overs due to the moisture on the pitch, Suryavanshi unleashed his true self, smashing nine fours and eight sixes enroute to his hundred.
