T20 World Cup Super 8s Points Table: India stays in semifinals race, South Africa officially qualifies
India stayed alive in the race for semifinals after beating and eliminating Zimbabwe in their Super Eight fixture of the T20 World Cup 2026 played at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday.
The result also confirmed South Africa’s spot in the semifinal while India and West Indies will now play a virtual knockout for the second spot from Group 1.
Earlier in the day, Aiden Markram’s half-century helped South Africa beat West Indies by nine wickets.
