T20 World Cup 2026: Injury scare for Harshit Rana, goes off field during warm-up match against South Africa
India pacer Harshit Rana suffered an injury during the side’s T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up match against South Africa in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday.
Harshit pulled out of his runup twice during an over before holding his knee and hobbling off the field. He bowled just one over and conceded 16 runs.
An official statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India about the severity of his injury is still impending.
India is already without Washington Sundar, who had also missed the New Zealand series due to a side strain. He is still a part of the squad and expected to make it back in time. Previously, Tilak Varma had missed the series against the Kiwis but has returned fit and taken the field in two warm-up matches.
India plays its opening game against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 7.
