SRH vs RR, IPL 2026: Hinge, Sakib too hot to handle as Sunrisers Hyderabad routs Rajasthan Royals

Debutants Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain’s sensational four wicket hauls helped Sunrisers Hyderabad overpower the unbeaten Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday night.

Their spells blew away the core of RR’s batting lineup, a deadly blow from which the away side never managed to recover from.

Earlier in the day, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and chose to bowl first. SRH’s opening pair of Travishek were dismissed cheaply but captain Ishan Kishan (91 of 44 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (40 of 26 balls) helped SRH post a good total of 216/6 on the board.

RR’s batting led by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, which has looked unstoppable so far, had no answers to the brilliance of Hinge and Sakib.

With the blink of an eye, Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, Lhuan Dre-Pretorius, and Riyan Parag had all walked back to the pavilion, and the scoreline looked like it was a football match going on.

Donovan Ferreira (69 off 44 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (45 runs off 32 balls) tried their best to salvage some pride for the visitor but far too damage had been done by then. It was a sweet victory for SRH as RR succumbed to its first loss of the season.
