Shreyas Iyer becomes fifth player to captain in 100 IPL games
Punjab Kings’ Shreyas Iyer became the fifth player to captain in 100 Indian Premier League games during an IPL 2026 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamshala on Sunday.
In addition to PBKS, Shreyas has also led Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, winning the IPL title with the latter in 2024.
From his 99 games in IPL as captain so far, Shreyas has won 54 and lost 40 games.
In IPL 2026, PBKS began with a seven-game unbeaten run, before suffering five defeats on the trot.
