Marco Jansen smashed an unbeaten 55 from 30 deliveries to rescue South Africa from a tricky position in its T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal against New Zealand at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on March 4.

Jansen walked to the crease after the dismissal of Dewald Brevis in the 11th over with the score 77 for five. He added 73 with Tristan Stubbs to push the Proteas to 169 for eight in its 20 overs.

Jansen’s knock contained two fours and five sixes, and he raised his half-century from 27 balls with the second of back-to-back sixes against Lockie Ferguson.

This is Jansen’s second fifty in T20Is, as well as his highest score in the format.
