Ruturaj Gaikwad replaces injured Riyan Parag in India A squad for Sri Lanka tri-series
Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been called up to the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka, the BCCI said on Sunday.
The 29-year-old replaces Riyan Parag who has been ruled out of the series due to a hamstring injury. Riyan’s rehabilitation will be managed by the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE), the board added. Gaikwad also takes over as vice-captain of the squad from Riyan.
Gaikwad has played nine One-Day Internationals for India and has recorded one century and one half century.
