Prithvi Shaw prepared for the upcoming Ranji Trophy with a century for Maharashtra against Mumbai in a warm-up match at the MCA Stadium in Gahunje on Tuesday.
Batting at the top of the order, Shaw scored a century from 140 deliveries. Shaw and opening partner Arshin Kulkarni posted a mammoth 305-run opening stand as Maharashtra piled on the runs while batting first. Both openers posted centuries.

Shaw has been in good touch since his move over to Maharashtra, notching one century and one half-century during the recently concluded Buchi Babu Invitational Cricket Tournament in Chennai.
The right-handed opener made the switch to Maharashtra from Mumbai in the off-season, as he looks to return to the form that saw him receive an India call-up in 2018. Shaw made his debut for Mumbai in 2017, scoring a century on debut against Tamil Nadu, before making 4556 runs in 58 First-Class appearances at an average of 46.02.
He has also made five Test appearances for India, scoring 339 runs at an average of 42.37 including a memorable 134 on debut against the West Indies. His last appearance for the Test side came during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
