PAK vs USA, T20 World Cup 2026: Shadab’s all-round show leads Pakistan to revenge over USA
Shadab Khan’s all-round display led Pakistan to a comfortable 32-run victory over USA as it secured its second victory of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the SSC Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old smashed 30 from 12 deliveries before returning with the ball to claim two for 26 from his four overs.
Shadab’s cameo with the bat capped off a strong performance with the bat for Pakistan as it posted an imposing 191 for nine in its 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan (73) led the way with the bat, ably supported by a handy return to form for Babar Azam (46).
USA never truly got going in its chase. Shayan Jahangir (49) batted nicely in the PowerPlay, but the introduction of the spinners triggered a middle-overs slowdown that ultimately put too much pressure on the USA batters.
Usman Tariq was the pick of the bowlers, claiming three for 31 from his four overs.
