PREVIEW
New Zealand and West Indies will lock horns in a five-match T20 International series, starting on Wednesday at Eden Park in Auckland.
The Kiwis have lost two consecutive rain-marred T20I series at home, against Australia and England, and will look to turn their fortunes around under the leadership of all-rounder Mitchell Santner. The Windies, on the other hand, swept Bangladesh 3-0 away in their most recent T20I series and will want to carry the winning momentum into the multi-format tour of New Zealand, which also includes three One-Day Internationals and as many Tests.
West Indies captain Shai Hope was the architect of his team’s T20I series triumph in Bangladesh, scoring 101 runs in two games, and he will be key for the visitor once again.
