Mumbai squad for last Ranji Trophy round: No Jaiswal; Shardul Thakur remains injured

The Mumbai Cricket Association on Sunday announced its squad for the seventh and final group-stage round of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season.

Regular captain Shardul Thakur remained sidelined due to an injury, and Siddhesh Lad will continue to lead the side.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the most notable absence in the team. The southpaw is not part of the Indian T20 squad for the New Zealand, yet has not featured in the Ranji Trophy. Other members of the Test team, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Nitish Kumar Reddy featured for their respective units in the sixth round.

Jaiswal made a solitary appearance in the Ranji Trophy this season, scoring 67 and 156 in a drawn match against Rajasthan in Jaipur. He also played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Mumbai, however, has little at stake in the final match against Delhi, which will be played at the BKC Ground in Mumbai, having sealed the top spot in Group D with a nine-wicket win over Hyderabad in the previous round.
