Kim Garth becomes second player to represent two countries in Women’s T20 World Cup history
Pace-bowling all-rounder Kim Garth became the second player to represent two countries in the history of the Women’s T20 World Cup.
She took to the field in Australia’s 2026 edition campaign opener against South Africa on Saturday for her maiden appearance for the Aussies in the T20 showpiece. She had been part of Australia’s squad in the previous two editions but hadn’t played a game.
She has represented Ireland in two T20 World Cups, in 2016 and 2018.
Earlier in the day, left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon became the first player to achieve this feat after she starred with a three-wicket haul for Scotland against Ireland.
Gordon had played for England in the 2018 edition, where she took eight wickets in five matches.
