Karnataka’s KL Rahul, Prasidh Krishna to miss Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 knockout stages


Karnataka will miss the services of the K.L. Rahul and M. Prasidh Krishna in the knockout rounds of the Vijay Hazare Trophy which commences here on Monday.

Batter Rahul and pacer Prasidh, who played two and three games respectively in Karnataka’s group stage campaign, will join the Indian team for the ODIs against New Zealand. The first ODI will be held on Sunday at Vadodara.

Karnataka senior men’s selection panel chairman Amit Verma explained that fast bowler Vidwath Kaverappa, despite not being named in the squad, will be available for selection in the knockout rounds.

Kaverappa played two games in Karnataka’s group stage outings, before being overlooked in the playing eleven.

Amit added that teenager Madhav Bajaj, a left-arm spinner, has been added to the squad.
