Karnataka squad for Ranji Trophy quarterfinal — Devdutt Padikkal to continue as captain, Karun Nair returns
India international Devdutt Padikkal will continue as Karnataka captain for its Ranji Trophy 2025-26 quarterfinal against Mumbai, which will take place at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai from February 6.
Karun Nair, who missed out against Punjab after splitting his webbing in the contest against Madhya Pradesh, will return to the side, replacing Dhruv Prabhakar. The right-handed Nair is Karnataka’s highest run-scorer this season with 614 runs.
Speedster V. Vyshak, who sustained a hamstring injury, continues to be unavailable.
The State sealed the final quarterfinal berth after pulling off a thrilling win over Punjab. Skipper Padikkal spearheaded the fast-paced chase, scoring his eighth First-Class ton to help Karnataka race home in just 28 overs.
Karnataka finished alongside Madhya Pradesh as the two qualifiers from Group B and complete the top eight lineup for the season.
