Jasprit Bumrah wins Player of match award in T20 World Cup 2026 final
Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the Player of the Match award for his mesmerising spell in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026 against New Zealand in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Bumrah claimed four wickets against the Kiwis, while giving away just 15 runs to set up India’s convincing 96-run win.
The right-arm quick also became the highest wicket-taker for India in T20 World Cups.
Bumrah’s 4/14 is best figures by a pacer in a T20 World Cup final.
The pacer finished as the top wicket-taker of the tournament with 14 scalps, level with fellow teammate Varun Chakaravarthy.
