Ishan Kishan records third-highest T20I score for India against Pakistan
Opening batter Ishan Kishan recorded the third-highest T20I score by an Indian against Pakistan, during a T20 World Cup 2026 match in Colombo on Sunday.
Kishan scored 77 from just 40 balls, smashing 10 fours and three sixes, to give India a strong start after it lost the toss against Pakistan.
The left-handed Kishan began his knock with a pulled six against pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. He soon began to take apart Pakistan’s spinners.
He was eventually dismissed by Saim Ayub, who had him bowled.
Virat Kohli holds the two highest scores for India against Pakistan in the shortest format – 82* in 2022 and 78* in 2012.
