elcome to Sportstar’s LIVE coverage of the IPL 2026 Auction being held at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The auction will see 369 players go under the hammer, with the 10 franchises needing to fill 77 slots between them for the upcoming season. Each team can have a maximum of 25 players, including eight overseas players, in its squad.
Kolkata Knight Riders goes with the highest purse of Rs. 64.30 crore, followed by Chennai Super Kings with Rs. 43.40 crore.
Among the biggest names up for signing will be Australia all-rounder Cameron Green, who last played for RCB. Venkatesh Iyer, who was signed for a whopping Rs. 23.75 crore in the mega auction by KKR, was released ahead of this auction and will be on the radar of multiple teams.
Here is how much purse each team has before entering the auction: KKR – Rs. 64.30 crore, CSK – Rs. 43.40 crore, SRH – Rs. 25.50 crore, LSG – Rs. 22.95 crore, DC – Rs. 21.80 crore, RCB – Rs. 16.40 crore, RR – Rs. 16.05 crore, GT – Rs. 12.90 crore, PBKS – Rs. 11.50 crore, MI – Rs. 2.75 crore.
This year’s auction is being held at the Etihad Centre in Abu Dhabi, and will commence at 2:30PM IST. The live streaming will be available on the JioHotstar mobile app and website. The live telecast will be available on the Sony Sports Network.
