IPL 2026: Andy Flower fined for breach of Code of Conduct during MI vs RCB

Andy Flower, the head coach of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, was fined for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during the match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the 18th over when Flower spoke aggressively with the fourth umpire — a breach of article 2.3 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to “use of an audible obscenity during a match.”

As a result, the former Zimbabwe batter was fined 15 per cent of his match fee.

“He admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction imposed by match referee Amit Sharma,” the League said in a statement.
