India beats Australia in the semifinal, advances to the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 final

Jemimah Rodrigues’ century helped India beat Australia by five wickets in the semifinal of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.

The Women in Blue will face South Africa in the final on Sunday, with both teams in sight of a maiden ODI World Cup title.

The finalist ends Australia’s 15-match unbeaten streak in ODI World Cups, with its last loss coming during the 2017 semifinal loss at the hands of India itself.

This was also the highest successful chase — 339 — in women’s ODIs overall and in a knockout game in both men’s and women’s ODI World Cups.
