IND-W vs SL-W: India’s Deepti, Amanjot record second-highest seventh-wicket partnership in Women’s ODI World Cup history


India’s Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur recorded the second-highest partnership for the seventh wicket in the history of the Women’s ODI World Cup on Tuesday during their 2025 edition opener against Sri Lanka.

Deepti and Amanjot added 103 runs to bring the Women in Blue back on track after Sri Lanka inflicted a middle-order collapse on the host, thanks to Inoka Ranaweera’s heroics with the ball.

The highest-ever seventh-wicket partnership belongs to India’s Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar, both of whom stitched up a 122-run stand against Pakistan in the 2022 edition.
