IND vs ZIM, U-19 World Cup 2026: Vaibhav Suryavanshi scores second fifty of the tournament


India U-19 vice-captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a boundary-laden 52 from 30 balls in its first match of the Super Six stage against Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Tuesday, January 27.

The 14-year-old reached fifty in 24 deliveries, and smashed eight boundaries (four fours and four sixes).

The southpaw was eventually dismissed by Tatenda Chimugoro in the 12th over of the match, picking out mid-off while looking to go over the fielder.

This is his second half-century of the tournament after a 72 scored against Bangladesh. He is India’s top-scorer in the tournament with 166 runs at an average of 41.50 and a strike rate of 133.87.
