IND vs ZIM: India records its highest score in T20 World Cups, second best total in tournament history


India recorded its highest total in T20 World Cup history during the Super Eight fixture against Zimbabwe at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday.

India smashed 256 for four, overtaking its previous best score of 218 for four against England during the 2007 edition of the tournament.

This is also the second-highest team total in T20 World Cup history, overtaking West Indies’ score of 254 against the same opposition last week.

The highest total in T20 World Cups is Sri Lanka’s 260 for six against Kenya in 2007.
