IND vs PAK: India appeals for obstruction of field against Pakistan skipper Salman Agha
India appealed for an obstruction of field against Pakistan captain Salman Agha during the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai on Sunday.
Skipper Suryakumar Yadav went up in appeal after Salman blocked the throw to the striker’s end from deep cover. The incident occured during the 16th over of the Pakistan innings, bowled by Axar Patel.
Salman pushed a full ball from Axar towards cover and scampered back for the second, but was alleged to have changed the direction of his run in an attempt to block the ball hitting the stumps at the striker’s end.
Suryakumar immediately requested the standing umpire to go upstairs for an obstruction of field.
The third umpire, after checking the replays, suggested that there was no deliberate change in direction from the Pakistan skipper.
