IND-A vs AUS-A, 1st unofficial Test: Devdutt Padikkal scores hundred against Australia-A


India A batter Devdutt Padikkal scored a composed hundred against Australia A on the fourth day of the unofficial Test against Australia A in Lucknow.

The left-handed batter got to his hundred off the 198th ball he faced, with a single against Corey Rocchiccioli. This is Padikkal’s seventh First-Class century.

Padikkal is the second Indian batter to score a hundred in the match, after wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel, who reached his ton on Thursday.

Jurel and Padikkal joined forces when India A was in a spot of bother at 222 for four. The two then went onto build an impressive partnership worth more than 200 runs, bringing their side back into the game.

For much of his knock, Padikkal relied on soft hands, defending and working the ball around as Jurel went on the aggressive. The Karnataka batter had scored just nine fours by the time he got to his hundred.
