Highest individual scores in T20 World Cup knockouts: Sanju Samson enters top five


Indian opener Sanju Samson recorded the fourth-highest score by a batter in a T20 World Cup knockout game, during the semifinal against England at the Wankhede on Thursday.

Samson smashed a 42-ball 89 to give India a flying start in its last-four clash.

On Wednesday, New Zealand’s Finn Allen had become the first player to score a hundred in a T20 World Cup knockout game.

India’s Virat Kohli had scored an unbeaten 89 against West Indies at the Wankhede in 2016.
