England cricket legend James Anderson receives knighthood
Former England pacer James Anderson received a knighthood for services to cricket from Princess Anne in a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

The legendary bowler was awarded the accolade in former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s resignation honours list in April.
The 43-year-old took 704 wickets in 188 Test appearances for England. He is the third-most prolific bowler in Test history, behind only Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne.
He is also England’s leading wicket-taker in ODIs, with 269 wickets in 194 matches.
He retired from international cricket in July 2024, although he has continued to feature in domestic cricket for Lancashire and Manchester Originals.
