Conor McGregor hints at eye-watering $200m deal to return to UFC and fight at the White House
Conor McGregor claims he has been offered a $200million package to take part in next year’s UFC event at the White House.
UFC CEO Dana White announced last month that a deal to stage a series of fights at the residence of US president Donald Trump on July 4 had been agreed, although details have remained a closely guarded secret ever since.
White is a personal friend of Trump with the event arranged as part of the celebrations to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
McGregor has not fought since losing to Dustin Poirier in July 2021 but the Irishman took to X this morning to claim he has been offered an eye-watering deal to fight in Washington.
He wrote: “$100million to fight at the White House along with 100 US ‘Golden Visas’ for myself and family and friends.
“I look very forward to entertaining the fighting world once again.
“A pleasure I never take for granted!”
A ‘Golden Visa’ enables those that can afford it to take up permanent residency in the US and costs a reported $1m.
