Cameron Green’s Rs 25.2 crore KKR IPL deal followed by Ashes duck a day after

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green fell for a duck off Jofra Archer’s delivery on Day 1 of the third Ashes Test against England at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.

Archer unsettled Green with a bouncer first up, then drew a tentative poke off the pads next ball, which Brydon Carse held, leaving Australia 94 for four.

The dismissal came a day after he was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for a jaw-dropping Rs. 25.2 crore during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Auction in Abu Dhabi. Green had entered the auction as a batter and was sold from the first set on Tuesday.

But, the 26-year-old had confirmed last week that he would be available to bowl in the tournament.

He also clarified that he was listed in the IPL auction in the batters’ category instead of the expected all-rounders’ lot due to a mistake by his manager.
