Bournemouth investigate Jimenez claims and exclude him for Fulham game
Bournemouth right-back Alex Jimenez won’t be included in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Fulham with the club investigating online allegations made against the Spaniard.
Photographs that claim to show a conversation between Jimenez and a 15-year-old appeared on social media this morning.
At this stage, there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Jimenez with the club attempting to determine whether the messages are genuine, but they have opted to leave him out of the game at Craven Cottage while that investigation takes place.
A club statement read: “AFC Bournemouth are aware of posts circulating on social media involving right-back, Álex Jiménez.
“The club understand the seriousness of the matter and it is currently being investigated.
“As a result, Alex will not be included in the squad for tomorrow’s Premier League game against Fulham and the club will be making no further comment at this time.”
