3 Inevitable Award (Bet Now: $5.50) looks really well suited back to 78 grade for Paul Preusker after racing in the Roy Higgins two weeks ago. He got into a sticky spot, sitting wide no cover and the hard run just told him late in the piece behind Deakin. Much better suited here and hard to beat if there is petrol left in the tank.
Danger
7 Amizetta (Bet Now: $7.50) is hard to beat. Symon Wilde trained mare that comes here off the back of a win at Sandown when leading throughout and she gave nothing else a look in to win quite impressively. Looks to get front end control here and the rise in depth should be no issue.
Long Shot
2 Zulu Angel (Bet Now: $8.00) is a Tassie raider that is racing really well at present and is one of the key chances. Strong winner of the Tassie St Leger before going to The Valley three weeks ago when off speed and kept chasing in defeat behind a nice stayer, Bur Dubai. Hard to beat the way he’s racing.
Race 2. (12:35) Vobis Gold Rush 1100m

Back Me
3 Killiana (Bet Now: $2.25) should take beating back to 1100m after racing a few weeks ago in The Showdown where she looked all over the winner when presented but 1200m just found her out late in the piece. 1100m, back to this level, the debut was electric…the one to beat.
Danger
5 Meisho (Bet Now: $5.50) is a Busuttin/Young trained filly that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Nov 20 at Caulfield Heath when kicking up to lead and agve a strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through when run down late. Given a good break and her jumpout work has been strong.
Long Shot
4 Nostra Bella (Bet Now: $41.00) comes through the Breeders Stakes from two weeks back down the straight at Flemington when outclassed on paper and ran accordingly when down the track behind Recuperato. Not sure she is good enough to win but for wider exotics, she can be entertained.
Race 3. (13:10) Balgownie Bendigo (Bm70) 1300m
Imagine what you could be buying instead.

Back Me
12 Tumbling (Bet Now: $15.00) is in a purple patch and is one of the hardest to beat off the back of a win at Sandown over 1400m when getting a decent run in transit just off the speed before angling clear and finished best to win and win well. Back to 1300m suits and this isn’t an overly deep contest.
Danger
5 Sunset Dreaming (Bet Now: $5.50) has to be given another look for Team McEvoy after resuming down the straight at Flemington where she got back and wide, and on a day where up/in was dynamite, forgive and forget the run. Had jumped out super prior so don’t ignore her.
Long Shot
4 He’s Handsome (Bet Now: $17.00) is one of the leading contenders. He ran over 1300m at Sandown last time when off speed and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat behind King Zephyr. He’ll be strong late and can take this out.
Race 4. (13:45) Carlton Draught (Bm74) 1600m

11 Freight Train (Bet Now: $4.50) is a nice horse and is a leading chance here. He resumed over this trip at Sandown when driving up to hold a forward spot from the inside gate and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through behind Carnival Row. Good upside, he’s right in the mix for mine.
Danger
2 Wonder Kid (Bet Now: $13.00) is an interesting runner. Former UK stayer that makes her Aussie debut for Price/Kent. He is better suited at 2400m+ it appears but he has trialled/jumped out well and appears to have a tocuh of quality, so watch betting.
Long Shot
12 Scheelite (Bet Now: $15.00) is dangerous with his best. He ran a few weeks ago at The Valley where he got back nearer the inside and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat behind Elouyou. Bigger track suits and will be strong late.
Race 5. (14:20) Bendigo Mazda Hcp 1100m

1 Reserve Bank (Bet Now: $5.50) has class on his side and I’ll bank on that class getting him home. He comes through the William Reid where he was no chance with the way the track played but he was far from disgraced in defeat behind Schwarz. Debut winner at this track adn all things being equal, he’s better than these.
Danger
13 Scampi (Bet Now: $9.50) comes to metro level again for Ciaron Maher after a first up maiden win at Cranbourne where he looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted to win and win well. He’s always shown good talent so keen to see how he goes.
Long Shot
12 Tartaglia (Bet Now: $20.00) looks an improver. He resumed over 1000m at Sandown where he got a fair way back off the speed and while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and was pretty good in defeat. Maps to settle closer and be effective late.
Race 6. (14:55) Bendigo Advertiser (Bm84) 1100m

I think most would know I am #1 in the 3 Tatsumaki (Bet Now: $1.80) fan club. Been hot on him for a few months since he first jumped out and he hasn’t let me down since, with his Aussie debut win at Caulfield being electric, producing sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in. Good upside to come and with a Goodwood berth on the cards with a win here, confident he can make it 2/2 down under.
Danger
8 Moonhaven (Bet Now: $18.00) on top for me. He resumes for Team Freedman, having not raced since Sep 28 at Rosehill when down the track behind stablemate Peace Treaty, sitting wide no cover and tiring late. He has looked strong in jumpout work and his best is clearly good enough.
Long Shot
5 Fasuto (Bet Now: $17.00) comes here with fresh legs for Clinton McDonald, having not raced since March 1 down the straight at Flemington when far from disgraced in the Gold Comet behind Midwest. Tick over trial was quite good and he does have a tocuh of class.

13 Zloties (Bet Now: $3.30) rises sharply in grade/depth but she looks a good mare on the up. She let down with real purpose to win at Sandown last time, which followed a super first up run behind Pop Award in a fast race. Good upside to come and Beggy has his stable flying.
Danger
2 Extratwo (Bet Now: $9.00) placed on this day last year in the 1400 benchmark race and looks on track to run well again after racing three weeks ago at The Valley when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat. Back to Mares grade, hard fit and 1400m, she appeals.
Long Shot
10 Foxy Cleopatra (Bet Now: $35.00) is a Busuttin/Young trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up after a three run Spring prep where she didn’t fire a shot each time she stepped out, albeit she did contest races far stronger than this. Jumpout work has been strong and she can sprint well fresh.
Race 8. (16:15) Bendigo Guineas 1400m

Back Me
3 Wonder Boy (Bet Now: $3.90) is several weeks between runs since contesting the Phar Lap where he wasn’t really suited by the slow tempo but kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat behind Lazzura. Racing like a strong 1400m will suit and for mine, commands respect.
Danger
7 Somewhere (Bet Now: $7.50) is a very good horse, potentially the best horse in the race, so keen to see how he goes. He reusmes for Archie Alexander after a two run prep in the Spring to start his career, letting down like a good horse on debut at Ballarat before going to the Sandown Guineas where he was very good in defeat. Trial/jumpout work has been good and although he’ll be better at 2000m+, he has an engine under the hood.
Long Shot
1 Pisces (Bet Now: $16.00) should love the rise to 1400m after resuming three weeks ago over 1200m in the Darby Munro where the market said he wasn’t there to play and ran accordingly when down the track behind Autumn Glow. Fitter and up to 1400m, he has runs on the board to say he’s hard to beat.

4 Regal Zeus (Bet Now: $6.00) looks to have returned in really good order for John McArdle and is one of the key threats. He resumed with a strong win in the Gold Sprint three weeks ago at Caulfield, leading throughout and gave a strong kick, there to be beaten but found under pressure to score. Upside/improvement, he’s hard to beat.
Danger
12 Windstorm (Bet Now: $7.00) has found positive form…can he go on with it? He looked completely cast but he was a beauty in defeat two weeks ago at Flemington, settling off speed and worked home with real purpose behind the in form Enxuto. He has the class/quality to measure up.
Long Shot
16 Euphoric (Bet Now: $19.00) is a first four contender. He ran over 1400m at Flemington last time out behind Verdad where he got a fair way back in the run and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was quite good. Maps to get a suck run and be strong late.
Race 10. (17:25) Smartloans Bendigo (Bm84) 1300m

13 Sunshineinmypocket (Bet Now: $7.50) comes here with fresh legs for Ciaron Maher, having not raced since Feb 15 at Flemington when racing over 1400m and was held late behind subsequent Stakes winner Is It Me. He does tend to race best on the fresh side and has a kind map in her corner.
Danger
15 Proved (Bet Now: $6.50) is very much a mare on the up. 5/5 to start her career, the latest coming at Sandown when on speed throughout and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but she found under pressure to fend them off and score. Hard to beat despite the class/depth rise.
Long Shot
5 Marble Nine (Bet Now: $16.00) will jump near the bunny and look to give his all. He ran over 1200m at The Valley three weeks back when near the speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through behind The Instructor. Good racing style and he seems to be finding positive form.
