WTC 2025-27 Points Table updated after IND vs SA 2nd Test: India slips to 5th place; South Africa stays second
India slipped to fifth place in the ICC Test World Championship 2025–27 standings after suffering a 408-run defeat to South Africa in the second Test in Guwahati on Wednesday.
The Gautam Gambhir-coached side has now won four matches, lost four and drawn one in the current cycle. The 0–2 series sweep also marked India’s first series defeat of this WTC campaign.

South Africa remained second in the standings with 36 points from four matches, having lost only once so far, against Pakistan earlier this year. Australia continued to lead the table after winning all four of their matches.
