Women’s ODI World Cup 2025: Australia skipper Alyssa Healy ruled out of England clash
Australia skipper Alyssa Healy has been ruled out of her side’s Women’s ODI World Cup clash against England due to a calf injury.
Healy, who is currently the leading run-getter in the tournament, suffered the injury during a training session on Saturday. The 35-year-old has already amassed 294 runs in the World Cups, including two hundreds.
Tahlia McGrath will captain the Australian side in Healy’s absence.
Cricket Australia confirmed that Healy’s fitness will be assessed again ahead of the team’s final group-stage game against South Africa, on Saturday.
Table-topper Australia will take on second-placed England at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Wednesday.
