Vaidehee Chaudhari Storms into ITF W35 Burnie Final; Eyes Fifth Pro Title
Vaidehee Chaudhari is into the final of the ITF $30,000 HCi Burnie Tennis International, after grinding through back-to-back three-set matches in Australia. The fourth seed from Khandosan, Mehsana District, Gujarat, is now one win away from what would be the fifth pro singles title of her career.
In her semifinal, Chaudhari (WTA 470) took the opening set 6-2 against seventh seed Mio Mushika of Japan (WTA 533), before losing the second 1-6. She regrouped to take the decider 6-2 and book her place in the final. It was a display of mental resilience and physical endurance, particularly given she had already come through a similarly taxing three-set battle in the quarterfinals.
What makes Chaudhari’s career arc quietly remarkable is its consistency. She has claimed a title every single year since 2022. A win in Burnie would not only give her a fifth career title but extend that streak into 2026.
In the final, she will face top seed and home favourite Lizette Cabrera (WTA 275) of Australia. It won’t be straightforward, but Chaudhari heads into the match with momentum and form on her side.
