V. Vyshak returns from injury — Karnataka squad for Ranji Trophy semifinal vs Uttarakhand
V. Vyshak returns to Karnataka’s squad for its Ranji Trophy semifinal clash against Uttarakhand starting February 15 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
The 29-year-old was out of action for a while with a hamstring injury and his return will bolster the Devdutt Padikkal-led outfit as it bids for its ninth Ranji crown. He replaces M. Venkatesh.
Karnataka beat Mumbai by four wickets to make the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy after what has, at best, been a shaky campaign.
K.L. Rahul’s 24th First-Class hundred helped Karnataka survive a scare to eventually chase down a 235-run target.
Uttarakhand became the first team to go through, crushing Jharkhand by an innings and six runs in Jamshedpur.
