Two Stakes to be Featured at Los Alamitos Sept. Meet
Two stakes worth $200,000 will be run during the upcoming September Thoroughbred meet at Los Alamitos.
The six-day meet is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 12 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 21. Racing will be conducted Friday-Sunday both weeks (Sept. 12-14 and Sept. 19-21). Post time will be 12:30 p.m.
The first stakes race – the $75,000 E.B. Johnston – will be run Saturday, Sept. 13. A one-mile race, the Johnston is restricted to 3-year-olds & up bred or sired in California.
The other stakes is the $125,000 Dark Mirage Saturday, Sept. 20. The race is also at one mile and is for fillies and mares 3-year-olds & up.
