Thailand crowned as champion of ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy 2025

Thailand was crowned as champion of the ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy 2025 in Bangkok.

Four teams – Thailand, UAE, Scotland, and Netherlands – finished on the same number of points, but Thailand finished at the top of the table on net run rate after a final day victory over Scotland.

Natthakan Chantham finished as its most prolific run-scorer with 144 runs, while Sunida Chaturongrattana took 13 wickets with the ball, the most for the side.

Thailand secured the title after a thrilling victory over Scotland on the final day of the competition. The host shot Scotland out for just 63, courtesy of Thipatcha Putthawong and Suleeporn Laomi, but soon slipped to 34 for five courtesy of a five-wicket haul from Olivia Bell.

However, skipper Naruemol Chaiwai remained calm to see Thailand over the line, and secure the trophy for her side.

Thailand’s victory meant that UAE and Netherlands’ victories over Namibia and Uganda respectively went in vain.
