South Africa’s victory over Zimbabwe has confirmed the schedule of the semifinals for the T20 World Cup 2026.
The Proteas’ five-wicket win over the Chevrons sealed their place at the top of Group 1 with three wins from three. In the semifinal, South Africa will face New Zealand, which finished second in Group 2. The game will take place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Wednesday, March 4.
The other semifinal will see England, which topped Group 2 with an all-win record, taking on the winner of Sunday night’s decider between India and West Indies. That semifinal will take place at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Thursday, March 5.
