South Africa becomes first team to qualify for T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eights


South Africa became the first team to qualify for the Super Eights stage at the T20 World Cup 2026 following a win against New Zealand on Saturday.

The Proteas rode on a masterful fifty from Aiden Markram to claim a seven-wicket at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to seal its progression from Group D.

Markram smashed 86 from 44 balls as South Africa finished off the chase with nearly three overs to spare.
