SMAT 2025-26: Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten century leads TN to close win over Saurashtra
B. Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten century powered Tamil Nadu to a thrilling three-wicket win over Saurashtra at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday. Chasing a stiff 184, Tamil Nadu was rocked early by Jaydev Unadkat and Chetan Sakariya, slipping to 29 for three.
Sudharsan, however, held firm at one end, pacing his knock superbly and finding the boundary at regular intervals to finish on 101 not out off 55 balls, with 10 fours and four sixes.
All-rounder Sunny Sandhu provided the late flourish with a blistering 30 off just nine balls, helping Tamil Nadu cross the line with eight balls to spare.
The win, though, came as a consolation for Tamil Nadu, which had already been eliminated from Super League contention after managing three victories in seven matches.
