Sarfaraz Khan goes unsold in IPL 2026 Auction
India and Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan went unsold at the IPL 2026 Auction on Tuesday, extending his wait for a return to the league.
He has been in sensational form for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring 329 runs in seven innings at a staggering strike rate of 203.08, including three fifties and his maiden T20 century. Last Sunday, he slammed 64 off 25 balls as Mumbai pulled off the highest chase in SMAT history – 235, against Haryana. Despite that, Sarfaraz has now gone unsold in three successive IPL auctions. He last featured for DC in IPL 2022.
Sarfaraz has previously represented Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. Across 50 matches, he has scored 585 runs at an average of 22.50 and a strike rate of 130.58.
