And, during the hour-long conversation at the MCA-BKC ground on Wednesday, Tendulkar answered each and every question thrown at him by the current crop of cricketers. With the domestic giant gearing up for yet another Ranji Trophy quarterfinal, this time at home, Tendulkar and former India fast bowler and erstwhile bowling coach Paras Mhambrey spent time with the players to boost their confidence.

While Tendulkar shared anecdotes from his cricketing days and advised the players not to give up irrespective of the situation, Mhambrey had long conversations with the bowling unit, led by captain Shardul Thakur. During the session, Mhambrey was seen giving them a few tips ahead of the marquee clash.

“It was a good session with Sachin Sir, as the players could ask him anything about the game, and his answers actually motivated the team. While the younger players wanted to know how to keep calm in crunch times, some of the seniors wanted to know what kept Tendulkar going when he crossed the age of 30, and he answered each and every question with clarity and precision,” a team source told Sportstar, adding: “Such sessions are always beneficial ahead of a big game and the players certainly got to learn a lot from him as they got to pick his brains…”
Mumbai stormed into the quarterfinals of the tournament after topping Elite Group C, whereas Karnataka made it to the knockouts with a dramatic win against Punjab in its last group league fixture.
